HPC Research Scientist
The High Performance Computing (HPC) Research Scientist will be responsible for assisting customers using complex research computing resources for advanced research purposes. The position will provide consulting, technical support, and training to users of high-performance computing resources. Responsibilities include assisting customers with onboarding of HPC systems; porting, debugging, and optimizing code; troubleshooting and general assistance in using HPC systems; training faculty and students on the use of HPC resources and programming; and tracking the use of HPC resources and the resulting research outcomes and publications. The position reports to the Director of HPC Facilitation.

HPC Software Engineer
Reporting to the Director High Performance Computing (HPC) Facilitation, this is a mid-level HPC systems software engineer position with a required background in HPC environments. To collaborate with and support our customers, this engineer must have demonstrated a consultative customer service attitude in prior roles in similar organizations. Primary responsibilities include installing and managing software to support the researcher; lifecycle management of software including patching and versioning; tailoring the installation and management according to researcher needs while leveraging HPC systems capabilities; training users in the use of software through workshops; prepare software documentation; troubleshoot user software issues; and help with planning of software use in HPC environments. The applicant must have broad industry knowledge of hardware and/or software services involved in building and operating HPC environments.
